Peter Zelinski is a writer reporting on the technology of manufacturing and the impact of its advance. He is the editor-in-chief of Additive Manufacturing, a magazine he helped to launch over 10 years ago that covers the advance of 3D printing for industrial production. He is also the editorial director of a sister publication, Modern Machine Shop, which reports on CNC machining. Pete has been writing for this publication for over 25 years, and his column, “The Z Axis,” has appeared there through most of this time.
He is perhaps best known as the co-host of a YouTube series on how 3D printing is changing manufacturing, The Cool Parts Show, a show he co-created that is now entering its fifth year. He is a podcaster as well, heard on AM Radio, the additive manufacturing podcast, and Made in the USA, about major themes in U.S. manufacturing.
Pete grew up in Mansfield, Ohio. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in mechanical engineering, and Cincinnati, Ohio, is where he still lives today.
